Hello again friends, I've had an issue since installing the Microsoft Office 2010 Suite whereby icons in Windows Explorer that open with Microsoft Office will not display correctly. The problem is still there. Click Programs and Features from the Control Panel list. Not the computer restarting, just windows explorer itself It mostly occurs when im right-clicking on a file or right-clicking inside a window it will make it just stop working and restart. Confirm if the Office icons are shown correctly in Windows Start. If it does not work, you may manually correct the shortcut targets by right clicking on the shortcut, Properties and correct the Target for the shortcuts one by one.

However, pictures that open with Office have the picture viewer icon properly displayed next to them.
