Early morning of August 23rd, transmission completely failed while driving on I-55 coming out of downtown Chicago. The owner also indicated he used to have Dodge caravans when his kids were younger and that he thought he had a nice set of headlight bulbs which should fit, so he sent them to me above and beyond! I think it is ridiculous that gm is aware of the problem and will not recall that affected models.
Had it pop out of gear when trying to shift into second and then slammed back in to first. Still had a hard time getting it taken care of and they barely did anything on the price. Car has slowed down to 30 mph going up the hills on freeway putting me in an unsafe position. I thought the Chevrolet company stood by his products. The interior is in nice condition, but could use a professional cleaning. The last manual transmission car I had, a Charger, had over 100,000 miles on it with no problems.
